Original concept art drawn and given to me by the Lead Art Director of the Dead Space 1 & 2. It's the pinnacle of my Dragon Horde.

Those are the best ones to share! It's their story & meaning that makes them unusual, you see...for instance:

- Nick-knacks from a deconsecrated chapel - At one point I was in the attic, atop the domed ceiling lowering Mission-era lamps.
- Small collection of radioactive objects - From my short lived obsession with measuring radioactivity after 3/11.
- Autographed copy of Christine Jorgensen's Autobiography - When our daughter came out, my research fixation kicked in.
- Early 1950's magnetic core memory array - like a tech arrowhead & is visually interesting. I mounted it between lexan on oak.
- Life-size replica of the Rosetta Stone - Came from the condemned school attached to the chapel & I love written language.
- Seeds from the tree outside our honeymoon window - hopeless romantic. Also, allergic/stress reactions to fish, sun and travel ...and maybe that damn tree's flowers.
- Magnolia branch watercolors painted by my mom - someday she won't be here. And she was an amazing artist.

Now, that is an odd item! I love how highly specialized tools like that just exude a certain feel of absolute perfection of manufacture. That and I can't help but imagine a neurosurgeon wielding it. A calm, sane one, even... ;p

the calm "sane" ones are the scariest. I worked with those people.

I have [among other things]: two Japanese fans, one actually from Japan, a fake microphone from Korea that bonks a person in the nose if you hit a switch, rocks from Alberta, a dried snakeskin and various pieces of nature, and about several hundred books and nearly as many stuffies. :D

I have an early 70s litronix LED calculator, the kind where the red LEDs are a bit dodgy so you're not quite sure what number it reads sometimes.

A miniature set of samurai armor that I got from my aunt when she was living in Japan. The mini sword is even made of metal, though it can't cut anything as far as I know.

Zorki 4 and Kiev 2 rangefinder 35mm cameras. Made in Russia and Ukraine during the Soviet era. Late 60's vintage, but they're basically knock-offs of the Leica and Contax cameras of the late 1930's. They make a lovely change from a modern digital camera every once in a while.

Hm, it's possible that a lot of the things I own are unusual...

-I have several ceramic pods (seed pods, sea urchins) from an artist on Etsy. One of them looks like this: https://img1.etsystatic.com/038/0/5532742/il_570xN.659274787_ksfq.jpg

-A 1930s tapestry from Uzbekistan.

-A lot of my clothes may be considered unusual...right now I am wearing my velociraptor leggings. Is that unusual?

-A salt lamp (gift from my friend).

-Hand carved Moroccan octagon tables.

All of those sound neat.

Hm....

Rencently my mom went to Mexico. She wanted to get me something so I said a little stone animal would be neat. She brought me back a jade Hippo :ninja: , cause Hippos totally live in Mexico.

Mjölnir pendant that's a replica of one found in Sweden from the 10th century.

Dead Space 2 Advanced Rig Hoodie I ordered online from Indonesia.

The ceramic seed pods is really neat. Unfortunately I made the mistake of google image searching to see what botanical pod it matches. I think it's modeled after my kryptonite, my arch nemesis...that particular set of search results are the *perfect* worst set of images to set off trypophobia!

Also, 'raptor leggings may be unusual, but now I want a pair so bad...
