Ah, but isn't believing in science and scientific principles faith? Don't get me wrong, Flagg, I consider religious faith without proof to be imbecilic, but do we not accept many scientific principles without proof? Could you comprehend every equation in the Principia Mathematica? Have you actually seen relativity happen?

The only difference is, science is more updated. It does have occasional dogmatism, but it is more in flux than most religions....

I've sorta gone off the idea of angels after watching Neon Genesis Evangelion, ha ha ha....

You just reminded of my obsession to understand as much math and science as possible before I die. Now I have to go plan a way to a PHD in mathematics and a Masters in every branch of science I can.

Thanks....

Er.........Quartermass. I think we more or less made him hate religion more.

oh well.

God works in mysterious ways.

I should know.

At least he's got a Revolver Ocelot avatar now (well, "Liquid Ocelot") instead of Chucky Manon's zombie.....

Rob Zombie makes pretty music and I love the shows he puts on.

I'm just a very curious person who hates the idea of having faith. It's a weakness in my eyes and I must eradicate that weakness within me and learn as much as possible. Math being the only universal lanugage means I must study it deeply to further my understanding of the universe, all other sciences merely need a Masters to understand the basics.

Okay, but in a way, you have to have faith in the fact that the lecturers are teaching the right crap. I feel that in order for us to have faith, we need proof.

I didn't say I necessarily felt either way that I believed OR disbelieved angel accounts. However, I AM interested in them.

I believe in an almalgam of science and myth. A bizarre combination of science and religion. Crazy stuff about the universe having been created via the methods mentioned by scientific theory, but sparked by the influence of an omnipotent intelligence. That we were special... but have no more influence from this greater being as we need to influence our own world. We need to Be the Miracle instead of praying for them. Pray gets you little. Going out and getting it yourself was the way we were designed.

I realize that this is going off the deepend and in the wrong section... but my amalgam has room for the possibility of "angels" in the service of the great experimenter.

Yes, I know. I'm completely insane.

In so few words, what I said.

I never purpoted to be sane.

There is just too much going on in the "supernatural" sense to discount everything.

EDIT: And with the way some pieces of technology are changing and being created, as well as an increasing awareness of the supernatural world by the general public, we should be able to scientifically prove ALOT.
