The irresistible urge to let it go in the backyard and hunt it.

I don't know if that's a pro or con.

Con: If you bring home a rabbit that is unknowingly preggers you'll end up with 50 pet rabbits.

I love rabbits as pets. We had 5 (one after the other, unfortunately they die very easily  ) They are extremely affectionate, cuddly, quiet, cute. It's best to get them when they're very young and for the first few days spend as much time as possible cuddling it and showing it lots of affection. Our last rabbit (which we had the longest) was extremely affectionate, used to beg outside the window, and the minute you stepped into the backyard he would tear up to you as fast as he could go and run in circles around your feet because he was so excited to see you. He would lick us heaps too and loved being petted.

I hope these are Rspca animals where talking about why would you by from a mill (aka sweat shop for b*****s) sorry nothing makes me madder than pets if it wasn't for the Rspca I wouldn't have them it's so selfish and when you think about it cruel.

I have a Ringneck Dove and like Rabbits (so it seems) are very under rated :)

My experince with rabbits is they arn't as loving as cats or dogs can be and can be a real handful to keep under control and keep clean outside of the cage.

does it matter their not as "loving" really this sounds selfish sorry  my pet dove is not as "loving" as the hookbills yet I still love him just as much perhaps more so.

When I was a kid my dad caught a young rabbit in our yard that had been damaging the gardens. He wasn't tame & couldn't really be handled so we let him go a couple months latter. My friend got one as a pet but let it ou in the backyard & he hopped over the fence & went under a neighbor's house & disappeared :( The rabbit was a pretty easy pet. You'll have problems if you have this kind thou
