Most of the time no.

Not really; actually, not at all. Sometimes I wonder about this, though; I've read that folks are supposed to care what those 'close' to them think about them. I only care as to how & whether it affects me.

I do, but anything on the fear, terror, panic, spectrum is acceptable.

That's the way I feel, too. I guess I care only when it may affect issues of self preservation.

no. I live my life by my own rules, and I wear my hair and dress the way that I please. I do not wish to comform with society. Society has screwed me over, so many times. I'd rather have my edge and my Cockney accent, that I've had since I've started tallking, than be like everybody else. If people don't like my clothes, hair or accent, they don't have to pay any attention to me.

If they start spreading false gossip about me then hell yes, I have a right to be paranoid.

Yes, I care very deeply of what others think of me. If someone says something bad about me, I begin to get very paranoid about it.

Before I knew about AS I did, but now I don't really. If someone thinks negatively of me, that's their problem.

Now that I've had a few years to think about it, I do care what people think of me nowadays. I got my life back on track, cleaned up my act and my attitude and chose a kind and sensitive man for a role model. I also don't spike my hair anymore. That makes me look scary and I really don't want to see that when I look in the mirror. It was back in 2009 that I've decided to grow up and be myself once more like I was able to do my first years of High School and the 4 years after I graduated from College. Things have been a lot easier for me since I did that. The interesting thing is that I have more of a personality now than I did in 2007 and 2008. I also feel embarrassed about the things that I said in this thread in 2007 when I was cynical and angry at society. I was only making life harder for myself by not being myself. Being yourself does not make you a bland person. Being yourself brings out your natural personality.

In school and then on the job front it matters how you present yourself. So it does matter what people think of you. It's how society is built. You look a slob or if you lack respect for others it's going to bite you in the behind.

I care way too much about what others think about me. I can be really obsessive about it. Did she/he/they think A or B about what I said or did? Do they think I'm boring? Do they think I'm a downer or a buzz kill? Do they think I'm a narcissistic or self centred jerk? Or do they not care?
