Finally got the medicine--tessalon perles. What a weird effing name for a medication. Anyway, I finally took one, so I'll get to see how it works.

hit one of the hispanic grocery stores, look for something called Manzinilla (MAN za NEE ya) also known as chamomile. its an herb. make a tea with a huge handful of the stuff.. add a pinch of sugar or honey to sweeten. drink a couple cups of this a day. it will knock out colic in a baby in a day so it should help you.

Maybe I'll try it. Thanks.

I'm still coughing even with this medicine. I'm wheezing a bit right now.

I had what you are describing, the cough that wouldn't go away, it was atypical pneumonia, treated with bug killers, it eventually went away but because I didn't tackle it right away it took root and it took multiple courses of antibiotics before it was dead. something to ask your doc about.

Oh, OK. I hope to nip this one in the bud, then. Thankfully, I didn't have a fever today.

Ugh. I tried sleeping after taking another dose of tessalon perles. I started wheezing kinda bad, where it sounded like a grass whistle or something. Then I started coughing and coughing. Then out of frustration I got up and started moving and I coughed like I was firing a machine gun! Each cough had a sorta DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH sound quality to it, like somebody firing a machine gun several rounds going out, with each cough! Then I threw up. :(

I called the doctor's office after hours and they said I should come in in the morning.

Well, I had made an appointment for 1:30 PM. I arrived at that time. The place was noisy as all heck and the time was 3:00 PM and I still had not been called back. So I told them to cancel the appointment and I left.

I haven't been coughing nearly as much today as I had been. I wonder why that is. Is the medicine, or is it the fact that it's much moister today? I know that starting tomorrow night the dew point is going to drop like a rock as the temperature does, too, so I wonder if that would aggravate the cough again. I may not be able to go to the doctor until next week because of a possible ice storm. Maybe I should try to get some tea.

Either way, I've been getting some much needed rest today; earlier, I felt weak, but I feel better now.

please make it a priority to be seen ASAP even if you have to wait in the waiting room for more than a bit. your body needs healing.

I actually think the bronchitis itself has gotten better. It's just that I feel like crap emotionally, with lots of different thoughts in my head.

I've been coughing some today. I find the cold air makes it worse.
