Yah, cows can be pretty dangerous at times, esp. bulls. My sister once had to sit on top of a concrete post until the farmer could rescue her from a bull that did not like the fact that my sister was in the pen with all ot his ladies.

My brother used to own a pair of working steers (oxen) and once our dog, who has never learned to stay away from farm animals no matter how many times he has gotten slammed in the stomach by a goat, was stupid enough to walk up to one of the steers. The steer proceeded to hook the dog on his horns and toss his several feet away. The dog, who by the way is a full grown collie, was fine, but he looked a little confused about how he ended up flying through the air

another hazard of country living is getting lost in a cornfield

Been there, done that. Come to think about it, I don't think anyone really used the path since it was pretty much invisible.
Returning to the subject of cows, I was once out in the fields, when some young bulls took it upon themselves to chase me. I couldn't have made it to the fence. I had to climb a tree and stay there until they got bored.

I am an animal. Not normal is not bad. Question all. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all!

Erm, no, it was normal sized. I'd have PTSD if a bunny that size galloped through my yard.

Imagine if cows could rear up and balance on their rear legs like deer.

8O On second thought, don't imagine it, it's too scary to think about.

Imagine what could happen if cows were as intelligent as dogs.
