When I was very young I used to be quite terrified of some of those logos that appeared at the end of TV shows after the credits. The worst one for was the Universal "Globe of Doom", as it's been affectionately called. I use to flee from the living room when it came on. The worst thing was that these logos usually appeared on shows my parents would watch in the evenings, when I was usually getting ready for bed, and I'd be afraid to go to bed because of that horrible Universal Globe and other scary logos worse than any imaginary boogie man coming after me, and my parents could not for the life of them understand why I was freaking out. It wasn't until just a few years ago that I found out on YouTube that there a lot of other people who were also very frightened of those logos and I was quite surprised and relived to know I wasn't the only one. Just last night the infamous Screen Gems "S From Hell" haunted my dreams while I was trapped in a hospital elevator. My brain sure enjoys torturing me in my sleep.

Thank you, Lostonearth. I just remembered how afraid I am of the maggot-like Michelin Man. I used to cry and crouch down in the seat of the car whenever my mother drove past the tire store that had a large one out front.

Talking on the phone to someone other than some of my immediate family members is downright terrifying! I try to steer clear of irons, but that was because when I was 9, I was stupid enough to touch an iron as I was curious to see if it was hot. My signature definitely applies to this situation :D

I also get scared driving under traffic lights when it is really windy. I just can't believe that those cables could possible hold huge swinging traffic lights!

:!: Warning; Random Aspie fact moment!

The only two things that humans are naturally afraid of are loud sounds and falling.

It's pretty common for us Aspies & NTs to be scared or freaked out when reading various posts there.

I don't think I have any unusual fears; at least amongst us Aspies anyways

Mold and any Mushrooms that grow on carpets, baseboards, and basements (often caused by water damage and dampness.) I can stand it if it's outside, but inside? Those things give me the heebie-jeebies.

Ants on Carpet. I HATE ants on carpet. They are almost as bad as mold.

Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man (GhostBusters) and the Giant Gingerbread Man (Shrek)- Mostly for that giant size, malignant stupidity, and they're both prone to getting easily enraged. Bonus points for the stupid smile of theirs that I easily imagine getting turned into a scary angry frown, and not being able to deter them once they get into their violent throw-a-tantrum mode.

I was just about to add mold to my list but someone's just mentioned it. Maybe it's not that unusual? After all many kinds of mold are bad to health. If eaten it could even cause cancer. When I see mold growing on food or anywhere, it freaks me out.

Mushrooms on carpets? How scary! I'd have to get rid of the carpet itself if it happens to my carpet.

Also many springtails together are gross. Or even just one or two remind me of a big group of them. Although they are usually harmless, they seem to imply bad hygiene.

EDIT: missed a word

Doors.

Doors are scary.
Push or pull?
What's on the other side?
They open unexpectedly.
All kinds of things can come through a door.

Omg I'm freaking myself out now.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to remind people of their fears just by mentioning my own. :(

Warm stalled fronts ahead of thunderstorms because they create an inversion layer and trap everything creating this pink hazy smog. The air quality becomes so poor, it makes it impossible to enjoy the outdoors.
