If Fred Phelps (Westboro's founder) were to be allowed to come back to his followers for an hour, wouldn't he preach a very different sermon than what they expected?

Eric Dolphy
John Coltrane
Ros Sereysothea
Frédéric Chopin
Trish Keenan
Robbie Basho
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Arthur Russell

Bobby Kennedy.

There are many other people who would be at least interesting to save. Although JFK was a fine president, propaganda and time have obscured the weaknesses of JFK and how his ego and ideals were constantly at odds. But I would have liked to save him, if only to wipe out some of the most annoying and ridiculous conspiracy theories in history. Abraham Lincoln and Gandhi had largely achieved their goals when they were assassinated. Nothing Martin Luther King, Jr. could do would have ultimately stopped the moral downfall and dissolution of the civil rights movement. Joan of Arc had far more impact on history as a martyr than she would have otherwise. Huey Long was a political disaster waiting to happen, the Greg Stillson of the 30s. Lenin's death was the worst thing for Russia since it allowed the rise of Stalin, but he ultimately would have gained power anyway no matter who he had to sacrifice--Trotsky could tell you that. (And at least socialism itself has survived as a viable form of government, just ask Sweden.) Pope John XXIII could have done many more good things had he not died of cancer in the early 60's, but only for the followers of one religion.

Bobby was the last politician who could have helped America learn the right lessons from the 60's and carried on his brother's legacy with less of the corruption. His killing was the straw that broke the camel's back. The result of his death was a defeated nation with nothing left to believe in finally giving up and turning government over to big business and the likes of Nixon. The country has never been the same.

FUNNY DEATH METAL LYRICS OF THE WEEK: 'DEMON'S WIND' BY VADER
Clammy frog descends
Demon's wind, the stars answer your desire
Join the undead, that's the place you'll never leave
You wanna die... but death cannot do us apart...

Beethoven. He wrote 32 wonderful piano sonatas and 9 magnificent symphonies. Just imagine if those sonatas had numbered 40 or 50 and his symphonies had numbered 12 or 15. Simply awesome.

John the Baptist.

Though things happened as they were meant to, had he lived a longer life, he would have clarified that the Messiah had indeed come.
