Wait a min! They do it in the UK as well?

They probably do it everywhere. I've seen it in the Netherlands too.

to be honest its just the way trousers are worn nowadays. Its rare to see anyone with jeans at the waist, theyre always slung a little lower. Its not an issue unless flesh is showing. The problem is that sitting down or bending over the guys will invariably display boxers. But like I said its the general rule as opposed to the exception from what ie noticed.

Pretty much more than half the guys in my school low ride. I think its just stupid, like it doesn't make you look cool it just looks stupid, no matter how good looking your ass is. I was late for class last year and there was this guy who looked about 2-3 grades ahead of me, he had his pants pulled down so low that he tripped when he was running up the stairs.

They were doing it when I was in Grade 7 too, its like "ummmm hello, I don't need to see your spongebob boxers!!"

oh god... :eew: :lmao:

some places have actually banned it, in 2010 a city in florida voted to punish sagging with a $250 fine or 10 hours of community service.
2007, deiambre, louisiana, banned sagging as well, passing an indecent exposure ordinance, which carries a $500 fine if violated.

I forgot that as a teen my parents occasionally complained that I wore my shorts & pants too low because they weren't above or right at my waist. My crack never showed thou & my underwear didn't show much either when I bent over. I think my parents were upset because they thought I was following the low pants trend instead of dressing more proper. The trend had NOTHING to do with it thou. I wore & still wear em like that because it's more comfortable. Most all my fat goes to my stomach(or chest) & wearing shorts & pants higher presses my stomach which is uncomfortable.

To whom are we referring? There are people who wear their jeans so low that their jeans hang off the mid portion or upper mid portion of the backside which is hilarious. On the other hand in the UK most guys (this is at my uni) from 18-25 or so wear them just below the waist, which reveals underwear when bending over etc.

that's in my opinion silly but it's pretty rare to be honest. I haven't seen anyone wearing them that low in a while.

Putting this in perspective though I think its just prudish and more than a little conservative to complain when they are worn just below the waist. Women wear low cut tops revealing cleavage in professional contexts so I really don't see why it should be so shocking when a few guys wear their trousers slightly lower than waist level

To be honest the sight of a man's grizzled navel set in a bed of wiry curls is far more unpleasant than boxer shorts

EDIT: There seems to be a distinction between sagging and just below the waist jeans. Can someone point the distinction out because im confused lol

Well Anna, I had the honor and pleasure of seeing three hairy ass cracks. It was not pleasant in the slightest.

No I don't find it attractive and I always thought it looked silly and uncomfortable. I could never stand to have pants real down low and hanging down low. This is something I have been noticing since high school or so. I don't get the trend. I know some places ave banned it.

It gives a general sense of discomfort - untidy, incomplete, indecent (underwear is meant to be private), unstable, impractical, uncomfortable to walk and so on. It also seems to stink of a kind of herd mentality. They seem to want to fit in with the "cool" crowd of peers by dressing in a rather rebellious untidy manner like many others. I feel a bit embarrassed for them because of that though I'm sure they themselves don't.

If they didn't show their underwear, I wouldn't say anything about it. Showing underwear is what makes it really unpleasant.

This must be a US thing because ive NEVER seen anyone deliberately showing their underwear except to moon someone. Do people actually do that lol. I thought only rappers did this and extreme thugs. There's an article featuring kids in St Albans UK doing it but like I said ive never ever seen it. Man it probably feels really really uncomfortable.

Just to clarify, I'm in Western Australia. I guess the fact that the majority of the WP members are from the US causes the assumption that posters with no location are from the US.

Any way, I have seen many guys with their underpants showing because they wear their jeans so low. I don't really want to be too fussy about other people's fashion but I have to say that showing your underwear in public is very unpleasant and pathetic.

I've had two former prison guards from two different states tell me that so that's what I go with as truth.
It's kind of comedic in an ironic way, if you think about it. Wannabe tough guys trying to pose 'convict' by having their pants hang low, while not knowing it's secret prison code for 'willing prison b****.'

Gosh, you gotta love the irony. :D

When teens started doing it in my area in the mid 90s it was because rappers were doing it. Plenty of rappers have went to prison for various things thou.
