I like cats and cats generally tend to like me, but the problem is that my body doesn't like cats, because every time i get exposed to cat hairs what is typically my left eye begins to swell and i get trouble breathing. It's a shame really because they can be really loving animals when they know you very well and if it wasn't for my allergy i probably would have one, so i'll stick with my big lunk of a Kleiner Münsterländer.

I'm not really one of the animal-loving Aspies but I LOVE cats. Unfortunately, I'm allergic so I have to limit my exposure.

I love cats. I own a cat of my own, who is sweet and has a great sense of humor. She tend to be the house "diva", acting like she rules the place, and can be finicky at times, but I love her just the same.

I currently live with my fiancé, and he has a few cats of his own, as well. One cat in particular is playful, likes to give kisses, and sometimes drinks water from the faucet. Another cat used to belong to his grandmother, but after she passed away, he adopted her. This cat is very affectionate, and is the oldest cat in the house, at 18 years old.

One time, I had three cats who ran the gamut of personalities

1. One cat was the Casanova: he wanted all the girls!

2. Another cat was the Victorian Lady: She was so prim and proper; she would have looked great carrying a parasol!

3. The other was the Streetwise Sage Lady. She was street-smart, not book-smart. She knew how to manipulate her guys to do what she wanted. But she had a heart of gold, especially after she had kittens.

Maybe their appearance and behavior. They are quite small, furry creatures. Their meowing and purring is nice. Their head with ears, nose, whiskers may appear sweet.

Oh I bet they do get the message, that is why they still bother you...if you where more indifferent about them then they probably wouldn't bother you as much. Ok that might be absolute bull, but you could experiment...try to develop a more indifferent attitude and see if cats go out of their way to bother you as much.

Because they are small, furry/fluffy/soft, have pointy ears and say meow.

I've never been too into cats until the last few years, when an angry stray started regularly roaming around my property. He hissed and growled a lot, but then I fed him some cheese and he took it upon himself to permanently move into my house. There wasn't even a grace period, he just started barging in whenever he wanted and my family eventually gave in because otherwise he'd just stare at us menacingly through the windows. I appropriately named him "Bundy". He's still really gruff and street-wise on the outside, but he can be a real softy with affection. And he's so photogenic:

Other than that, I've never had much interest in cats, unless they're really weird or goofy-looking. I've never been one for pets.

My ears are sensitive to the tone/pitch of meowing & it can be a tad painful for me to hear.
