What? That doesn't make any sense. Speeding is what causes most accidents. Where did you get that information?


No, it's aggressive driving that causes most accidents. It's the people that dart from lane to lane at 70 mph that cause accidents, not the guy staying in the left lane doing 100 mph. It's also the people that are afraid to drive, grannies going 35 in a 55, people in SUVs talking on cell-phones, drunks, etc.

Aggressive drivers, in my experience, are almost always speeding. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if speeders are involved in less accidents, but those that they are involved in tend to be more likely to be fatal. The vast majority of accidents are little fender-benders, after all.
