Joe Pasquale got better over time but not quickly enough to save the show most recently.

Our host of The Price Is Right in America (Bob Barker) is retiring this year after 35 years after hosting it from day one in 1972. Some people here in America said they thought it would be great if Joe could replace Bob next year as the host, and that's only because they knew he improved over time.

However, even though he did improve and they noticed it, the other Americans who have no idea who he is would say to themselves, "Joe who?," and the show would be canceled immediately!
