what has happened to this place?

every message board i post on i see threads like this, how the good old days were better. like complaining is going to bring them back or something

It's up and down, really. We've had some rough spots, but overall things are pretty nice. I don't see people attacking one another. But perhaps I'm not reading the right threads...

It is what it is. Everything grows in time, and without change, we would stagnate, as would the forum. Naturally I have criticisms...I would be a liar if I did not, but I see the positive aspects also. Nothing is all good, good, good...since when is life so black and white, anyway? A forum is just, in a sense, a microcosm of the real life that goes on out there everyday.

I miss many of the posters when I first joined, I rarely talk to people on PM people anymore(missing that) and I miss the posters I use to talk to. I have not been here as long as some people but I remember when I was checking out this site for a few months before I joined I liked the ways some of the members acted and treated each other and that helped me decide to join, its ashame but many of them I have never seen make a new post. smaller forums are easier to control and more small town like, once it gets past a couple thousand I am guessing it gets a lot harder and more like a big city.

I like a lot of the current members, though.

i miss Steelmaiden..... but overall i love it here...its a home for me in cyberspace..

I'm wondering why you find it creepy ShadesOfMe. Do you feel there is too many adult topics and not enough for the younger members? Ideally, everyone would feel at home here. What would you suggest to make it better?

I'll tell you one thing that is creepy: there are some members who are just messaging people and begining some fairly inappropriate conversations. I've not had to deal with it (I just scare anyone who wants to chat away), but I've definitely gotten wind of some of this.
