That penguin looks nice. You guys enjoy the choc-orange combination? I remember when Quality Street was still quality. The choc-orange ones were the only ones no one would eat. I've just never like the combination.

Give me Snickers, any day.

Or nougat with macadamia nuts.

^ Those sound like very Middle Claaaarse adults  . My parents, and all the adults in the Northern slum town I grew up in, pronounced it 'nuggit'.

Where's my post gone?
This thread reminded me of something we got back in the late sixties early seventies, well mother did and would let me have a piece. Came in a box and each little bar was wrapped in rice paper.

I now want some, having not eaten any for about 40 years because I forgot it existed.
I especially want some of this:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/lemon_and_blueberry_82699

Mmmmm....you can make some Nambo.

I'd love to taste it.

It's nice and chewy.

We used to give our dog chewy nuts. hahaha...she used to love them but it was so funny watching her chew them.

It was over 30 years ago by the way.

Never been keen on Quality Street but I love a tin of Cadbury's Roses or even better Cadbury's Heroes.

I didn't know you could get a Cadburys Amalgamation.

You have more confidence in my culinary powers than I do Babybird, the only sweet dish I would attempt would be hot bananas filled with Rolo's
You peel a banana, slice it open, put some Rolo's inside, wrap in foil, put in oven till Rolo's melt.
Delicious!

Mmmmm Nambo. you're making my mouth water now.

There's all kinds of delicious and wonderfully simple things you can do with a Rolo.

For instance:-

Especially a Club Orange.

But what do you think of a Terry's Chocolate Orange?

When I was little I ate those like apples.

It'd be nice if toffee apples grew from trees.

I've actually got two bars of Aldi's version of the aero bar in my fridge.

I have the mint one and the orange one. You wouldn't tell it apart from the real thing unless you were especially sensitive to taste.

I'll be saving it until Sunday anyway, for a treat.

It's not really will power. I just like being made to wait.
