I have trouble getting myself in the shower too. What I do is get out a change of clothes and a towel and a washcloth and put them on my bed. Then I wait a bit - a few minutes, many an hour or two - and then I get in the shower. It's easier for me if I do things in steps like that. I also have many nice smelling soaps from Bath & Body Works, so that helps.
That's what I do. Gather the needed items bit by bit, as I gravitate haltingly, working up to it.

I don't shower everyday, just when I feel like I need it. I don't smell or anything and no one can tell by looking at me or smelling me that I only shower about three or four times a week.
Same here-I don't physically do much, so I rarely get sweaty-unless I have to make a phone call (or leave the house!). In hot weather (couple months of summer) I do shower more than once a day-but those are special circumstances, in order to cool down (don't have A/C). I procrastinate taking a shower, I bargain with myself about what order to do things.

I'm a perfectionist, and I feel like I'm never quite done in the shower.
I never feel clean enough, the second I turn the water off I've already started on the road to getting dirty again & being in need of a shower. This is especially so during my period & humid weather. Just seems so futile, trying to keep up with constant maintaining/cleaning.

when I do shower I don't think I've ever voluntarily spent less than half an hour in it, while for most of the twice a day people spend about 5 minutes a time.
Takes me a half hour, too. I've long hair (which is very snarly & tangly, despite conditioners) which adds a lot of extra effort to the process.
The transition between being in & out is the worst, it's like swimming. Don't want to get in (which involves removal of clothing & being cold). Then don't want to get out (because then one's naked & freezing & sopping wet). Feel nice & warm during the immersion in water, but afterwards my skin feels all tight & icky, and having to use lotion for relief is icky as well.
