He sounds like a bastard. My step-dad doesn't really like cats that much I don't think but there's no way in hell he'd ever be allowed to make me get rid of Flo, my mum loves her too.

Anyone who forces someone to get rid of one cat, never mind eight, is just evil.
His excuse was because we were moving house, and he thought the cats would "mess up the new place." He forced me to abandon them at our old house. One of them found me, though, and I refused to give her up. The memory of those other cats haunt me to this day, though.
