Motorcycles, smaller, cheaper, quicker job, easy to sell, parts on ebay, build a classic.

Motorcycle... I'll think about that for my second project vehicle. My first I'm recieving this weekend, its a big project but the car is free. My sister saw the oil light on and ignored it (one of my parents cars). The engine blew, the mechanic said other then the fact the engine needs replaced that its in good condition. My dad who I normally don't get along with too well said that if I can manage to replace the engine he will gladly sign the vehicle over to me for free (he said he'd rather donate it to the kidney foundation then get it fixed, he was tired of my sister using one of his cars to do whatever she wanted to).

New engine for that car would cost 850, I could buy a new engine... Or I could talk a person or two to go with me to the pick N pull on a weekend and try to find the same car or one with a similar engine (that might be hard, I don't have a lot of friends that live near me). If I get a good one from the Pick N pull I can get it for under two hundred... But if I buy it new its 850. Its definately worth a lot more then that, I guess it all depends on whether or not I can get some guys to go with me to the Pick N Pull. After I get it fixed I'll probably sell it, then again I might give it back to my family... My mom does need the car.

I learned out of necessity. Couldn't afford a good mechanic or another car.

I don't work on them much anymore...I stuck basically to VW's...

...pic from the past...before I color matched the bumpers, and added custom running boards and wheels...I did all the body work myself at a night class...engine work as it broke down...and it did the first couple of years...a lot.

Coupe? Or hatchback? The hatchbacks are the only ones worth messing with, with a noted exception going to the new Si.

Coupe. looks just like this http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks. ... -civic.htm

I'm probably gonna sell it. Put a new engine in, get it for 200 at the Pick N pull. Sell the vehicle for 1500, I don't particularly trust the vehicle. It was really good for a long time, but my sister abused the hell out of the thing. I'm very particular about the way I drive cars, I always keep a quart of oil, and tire sealant in my cars just in case. It would still be running if she didn't decide to ignore the oil light (she had seen it for a day or two before it blew).
