A conditional apology is worse than no apology at all. You even failed to include the appropriate possessive pronoun. Obviously, you refuse to own your offensive actions, and instead try to pass the burden of blame onto your victims.

You made a racist statement; one that was directed at me, at my Asian wife, and at our children. I am lobbying for your immediate banishment from WrongPlanet.

What I'm about to say doesn't constitute bragging. I just wanted to get that out of the way.

In regards to what was discussed in this thread, I would make a good candidate for scientific research. I say that because I am autistic and mixed race; in my case, Asian and black. Throw in the fact that I'm also gay and a Jain and you really have a study on your hands. Just saying. Of course, with me being homeless, living on the street, my expiration date could arrive at any time. Hopefully this brain won't be a total waste.

There is nothing wrong with it. Anyone who thinks so is a racist. But then again all humans are racist by nature. :x

All humans are racist? All 7.125 billion of us?

My wife is black. I'm white. We have our cultural differences sometimes. But, otherwise, I don't really think of her as being "black" unless she starts on an anti-white rant.

I don't think it DOESN'T make sense; nor do I think it MAKES sense.

It just is. Like Tom Sawyer liking Becky.

There are times when multi-racial children can be really, really beautiful.

About multi-racials kids being beautiful. True but for some reason, it makes us get mad. It's somewhat patronizing. I can't explain why - it just does.

It's NOT natural to be racist. It is learned.

No, studies have shown that it's innate. They even studied babies. We actually have to learn to not be racist.

If you think about it, it makes sense. We started off as different tribes of people. We needed to be loyal to our tribes. So it actually goes even further than race. It's protective to trust those like oneself and one's tribe over other groups that could be enemies.

So racism is innate, and we learn to not be racist. Now, when I say "racism" I don't mean a feeling of superiority, but a preference for one's own race.

They actually even did studies to see if people had unconscious racism. That doesn't mean that a person is actually racist, it usually indicates cultural biases that people pick up on unknowingly. There's a test to take online that can be used to see if there may be unconscious biases. I took the test, and apparently I'm biased against white people, and prefer black people, even though I'm white 8O

I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it's interesting. An Indian sociologist took the test, and was surprised to find that she had unconscious bias even though she studies racism. So it really reflects how much one internalizes bias in culture.

Fnord you have said many things that show hostility to people with little if any provocation; myself included. I never tried to get you banned or reported your posts.

You were talking about whether autism is more prevalent in mixed race people and Golubaya_Krov
said "yes I wonder too, especially between asians and whites" that in itself is not offensive.

The offensive part was "i find it gross" which is just his personal opinion.

People fall in love with the people that they fall in love with. Sometimes people fall in love with someone of a different race. There's nothing that can be done about it.

My opinion is that people are taught to be racist, and it's not exactly something we're born with. The city we lived in when I went to elementary school was basically a redneck suburb and when it was originally founded, they banned Black and Hispanic people from living there. The racism was still there, but not quite as open as it once was, as there was a brief period where parents tried to get the city to secede from the more diverse school districts that the schools were with and form its own school district. It wasn't just that they hated Black people, but they hated Hispanics as well because they tend to speak Spanish in the home. When that obviously didn't work, many parents simply sent their children to private schools, or even moved to an even more conservative area which was the next county over.

One of the reasons besides my disability that got me bullied was that I didn't use race to determine who my friends were, so those who were being taught to hate others began to hate me as well. I'm just glad that we eventually moved to a neighboring city that was more diverse, and while I didn't have to switch school districts, I got to go to schools where you didn't see the subtle racism.

I would say racism touches on most people. Most decent people take steps in both their public and private lives to hide their racism, to not be openly racist towards other people, to not make racist statements.

Unless you're like Golden Dawn, of course, where you say stuff like:

I don't know how the UKIP MEP sat to his right stayed calm - he's part-Turkish himself.

I don't care what language they speak in the home, but I don't much like it when they're speaking in a foreign language in front of you. It makes me feel like there is something they don't want you to know.

If you were in Mexico, or Spain, or wherever, I'd understand.

A UKIP friend of mine is moving to Spain - he can't speak the language yet, but he will try to learn as best he can.

You are defending racism, not mere hostility - RACISM.

This thread has already caused warnings. These topics only lead to trouble and flaming, people.
