I think 164 for a guy over 6 foot is scrawny! Maybe you just need to do some toning exercises to tone up areas you feel are flabby. Guys should look sturdy. Boney guys look too feminine to me.

It's only a number.

Not your self-esteem.

But if you feel yuck, do some exercise.

I've got a boxing bag that is lots of fun for me and my boys.

I cycle to work. I belly-dance which is great fun and great exercise.

I hate exercising for exercises sake ... it's got to be something you enjoy.

If you've got a hernia, try swimming. It's great exercise, and it's good for injuries as the water supports your body.

Hey Richard if you can talk your doc into ordering physical therapy for your hernia or anything else you could go to the pool at the Summit Center. Nice pool. There's also the pool at FMC and one at the Athletic center on eastside of town.

6'5" and 215lbs

Exercising for its own sake was never something I enjoyed, but I love to cycle. I wore out my last bike but I haven't bought another one for a while due to money issues. I tend to be a bit snobbish with bikes because a good one, however expensive, is worth its weight in gold imo.

I'm starting to get flabby though, so maybe I'll have to lower my standards just a bit.
