..and to really gay things up a little, here's a special treat.. this is the boy I've kinda been dating since Halloween. Time will tell if we end up in a long term relationship, but for the time being it's been nice seeing him so far. He's a singer & YouTuber, and actually quite good - especially when he sings songs very well suited to his voice. I've heard plenty of people sing before, but it's quite something else to feel him sing in person. Blah blah, he's adorable! Without further ado, here ya go:
Just quoting myself to see to it that this adorable little guy makes page 2 as well.

Venus is exceptionally brilliant in the sky this week -- at least I think it's Venus, although it could be a different star . . .
This is a beautiful old American Christmas hymn. People outside the US who aren't familiar with this musical style may find it quite striking -- it's usually called "shape-note singing" today and it often thought of as Southern, but it originated in the late 1700s and was at first focused in New England, and then later spread to the whole US. The period images that are used in this video are a perfect match to the time period of the music.
Hail the blest morn! See the great Mediator down from the regions of glory descend. Shepherds go worship the babe in the manger; lo! for his guard the bright angels attend.
Brightest and best of the sons of the morning, dawn on our darkness and lend us thine aid. Star in the East, the horizon adorning, guide where our infant Redeemer is laid.
