By the way, you'd have to add Taekwondo to Ubby3's list.

We started Taekwondo last week - we've been to 2 lessons.

Ubby3 is a natural! He is so happy when he's there.

His big brother AussieBoy is also doing it.

And me.

So the three of us have been walking around the house saying - ya! ya! and doing our best spin kicks!

Smelena, if there was a certainty that your kids weren't using your account, I'd explain what I meant in the other thread by Irish Karate, but they're a bit too young. However, I should give a hint. It was a term coined, I believe, by Mark Brandon Read.

I've explained to them what Irish Karate is (as gently as I could).

Ubby3 is going to a dinosaur birthday party in 2 weeks. The invitation was a cardboard cut out of a t-rex.

He's been carrying the invitation around for a couple of weeks.

It's his best friend's party. They read dinosaur books together at school every day.

They play dinosaurs at lunchtime. They talk about dinosaurs. They draw dinosaurs... you get the idea.

You mean you told them that it involves gunplay????

Yeep! I wouldn't say that knowingly to a 7-year old!

I just told them it means using a gun. I didn't go into any other details!

Ubby3 hasn't seen Dr Who. In fact tv watching is almost non-existant now by the time he's doing Boy's Brigade, WrongPlanet and Taekwondo

Yes, I have noticed that before I found WP, every day after school I'd watch an hour of American Chopper on Discovery Chanel. Now I spend about 24 hours on WP!!

Erm, any subtitles for that?

Oh, Smelena, ever thought about buying/hiring out a BBC documentary called Walking with Dinosaurs? Here's the Wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walking_with_dinosaurs
And the actual site: http://www.abc.net.au/dinosaurs/

I was suggesting that there was no connection between your words and reality (that's the polite translation).

I think I already suggested 'Walking with Dinosaurs'.....

I'm unfamiliar with Irish Karate. Is that anything like the Chingchingpau school? ("Ching" as you pull back the slide, "ching" as it slams home, then pull the trigger and "pau"! !)

I liked Walking With Dinosaurs. They also did a Killer dinosaurs series as well which was good but I only saw a few of them.

It's a term used by Australian criminal Mark 'Chopper' Read. But the concpt is not unlike 'Chingchingpau', although apparently a boomstick is used.
