Does anyone find adverts on sites like this one annoying?

I especially hate the Zwinky adds and the ones with the posing Barbies for models.

I had an adblocker that mysteriously doesn't function anymore.

I guess they are a necessary evil (to get the money to fund the site)

Personally, I ignore most of them but I really don't like the flashing ones.

I use Adblock too, and I've never seen any ads here.

I hate them all, especially the ones that read "autism disease" and "asperger's disease" and the ads for ringtones. The ads make every page load a LOT slower!

I boycotted this site because of the obnoxious blinking/flashing ads until I discovered Firefox's Adblocker Plus. It's a much more pleasant experience now.

I disagree that they are a necessary evil. There are other ways to fund a site than selling out to commercialism.

What bothers me the most are the ones with sound.

What annoys me most is being an Aspie and visiting an Aspie site and finding annoying ads on them. I don't mind them on other sites, but on any site you can just ignore them.

There are some stupid ads on websites like the "Are you stupid?" button that looks like a message box but is really just one big button. IGN alone has enough adverts on it, so much that when you open a video, they play an advert first.

But yes, the world needs adverts, otherwise we would think that everything is rubbish.

I've seen a "You are an idiot ad that sings "You are an idiot. Bum, budumpam papapa papapa" over and over again

Only the ones at the top - I don't scroll down enough to see the ones on the bottom.

Flashing, blinking ads are bad enough, what is worse is adware or ads masquerading as legitimate software.
Some of that stuff is actually spyware or worse. I had loads of problems with this when I was using
MS Internet Explorer. Since I switched to FireFox I don't get as much crap-ware any more.
