I am painfully addicted to both.
At least with the tv, I can do other stuff while i watch it.
I use it mainly as a diversion to occupy my headspace while doing mundane but necc. chores cooking/cleaning etc...the computer is a diversion From these things...but it is more fun and self indulgent

If this were the past, I would say television but since this is the present, I would say computers.

Computers by a mile. I very rarely watch the boobtube other than for movies. Commercials make me crazy and I just can't cope. At least I'm in complete control with a DVD. And I do have my video games to play. I could really care less about cable though.
