My mother said that the reason young people are doing this is probably because they're being dared to by they're so-called friends, like peer pressure. I find this really bizarre because even when I was a teen I knew that taking on a dare that was wrong or dangerous was stupid, and if other kids made fun of me they really weren't my friends. As corny as that sounded it's true. But I wasn't like most teens, I wasn't easily influenced into doings things I felt was wrong. Of course I was a total object of ridicule because of that, but no regrets because at least I'm still alive.
