A crow’s brain is large for the size of its body allowing it to solve problems.

I like gray catbirds. They are relatives of mockingbirds, but they scream like cats. I have been known t have "screaming" fights with the ones in my yard. They will sometimes answer back for quite a while.
What's weird, though, is that they also have a beautiful song, when they aren't screaming.

One of my favourites is the nene, which is also known as the Hawaiian goose. I like the sounds they make :)

Herons. They are so clumsy, gangly and awkward looking on land but so gracious, beautiful and gentle in flight. They of a bird of water, air and earth. They spend much of there time in solitude, in silent reflection. More of a totem spirit to me, than just a favourite bird.

Northern Cardinal. Small, bright and charming little bird, love there spiky little hair do.

Kestrel. I am fascinated by the way they hover, looking motionless, effortlessly while they hunt there prey. Good looking little things too, especially the females.

Jay. I love blue jays for the colour, but I have always loved our European jays too, I did not think we had any near me, until I saw my first wild one, on my thirtieth birthday on the bird table in my mothers back garden. My sister had said she had seen a brown magpie just days before, he returned too, for a few years. Wonder if he is still about?

I am rather grateful for the eagels and the ravens that I sometimes see floating in the air above the farm. They like the small mountaintops right behind the farm, I guess they probably find upward airflows to hover on. The eagle was the first sight I had when I set foot on this farm when we moved here.

If I walk up the mountainstops I get to sit there and share the view with these hovering birds, and I can even see the from above when the take a dive. They are beautiful. The eagels and ravens don`t seem to like eachother though.

It is nice to be around the chickens/hens too. I keep icelandic chickens and they are my favourite chickenbreed. I like their variety in color and the little feathercrest many of them have on their head. Very cool. :)

I like carnivorous birds like owls, eagles, hawks, falcons they're just just amazing animals.

I also like ravens and crows, of course it can be hard to tell them apart...but both are pretty cool, vultures are also kind of cool even if they are kind of ugly.

I also like the cassowary:

I love their faces, its like a silly jim Henson muppet or something, for example:

I like all species of penguins. No matter how big or old they get, they still look adorable

I also like myna birds due to their uncanny ability to imitate different sounds, and owls because of their catlike appearance.

Other birds I like include peafowl, swans, ducks, macaws, quetzals, hummingbirds and quails.
