OK, I get it now, but the thing that really confuses the issue for me is that EzraS himself started such a thread some time ago about whether he should leave. It seemed like a perfectly serious thread, and was treated as such if I remember correctly, rather than a spoof. So how do you work out the different intent?

It's less than 5% of the time that he gets under my skin w/ his arguments. At least he can intelligently debate something.

Further, he's extremely well read/written for someone 17 years of age. And even though it shouldn't even be a thing, he impresses me w/ his communication abilities here despite the fact that he's mostly, or entirely, non verbal in the blah blah real world. I respect that.

Plus I just think he's a good vibe & positive contributor all around. It'd be nice to meet him & his father someday - they don't live all that far away from me. Maybe after the next administration is in and some of Trump & Co.'s mess has been cleaned up I'll cross the border again.

Nope, it's not obvious to me. It seems the ones who do it, are just looking for attention----and, often, aren't that well-liked, anyway. Oftentimes, IMO, they're just being crybabies cuz somebody picked on them, or people didn't think they were special, enough, or something, and they're looking-for an "Aw, poor baby".
