I'd like to use one of my drawings, but whenever I try to it tells me the picture is too big even when I shrink it until it's microscopic. I have no problem uploading my pictures on other websites like Facebook or Youtube so what's up with WP? :?

i guess the overall archive size limit here is smaller. you can not only re-size its dimension but also the resolution you save it.

I used to know a member who used an avatar with a young Amazon woman's nipple showing. I guess a Swastika is pretty mild compared to that.

I beg to differ.

A Swastika (that is clearly a Nazi one, and not-say- a white beaded American Indian swastika with circular barbs) is more offensive to most than is a woman's bare nipple.

When I was like 12 I went through a stage of liking swastikas. Just thought they looked cool. would draw them. Leave pieces of paper on my bedroom floor with big black swastikas. My World War Two era mom finally gave me a stern talking to about how it gave her the willies to see swastikas on the floor. NEVER did it again. Granted that was back in the sixties (closer in time to WWII), but still.

If you have this burning need to show Germanic swag on online social websites like this one then my advice to you is to go ahead and use German insignia that are not also insignia of the Nazi party.

Eagles are fine, and Maltese crosses are fine, because they symbolize Germany (and were used by the German military in the First, as well as the second world war). But don't use swastikas.

The Bundeswehr iron cross is still iconic imo as is the eagle

I've decided to ask the moderators and I'll be sticking to Schultz, Germany without the Nazi-ism unless it's the Berlin 1936 Olympics when the Summer or Winter Olympics are on TV, Sweet Peas, The Kinks and maybe England. All I had to do was ask the moderators. Why didn't I do that from the start? I could have saved myself a lot of anxiety. I guess people act up when things go wrong in their lives. I've been unemployed for almost two months and I guess it got the best of me.

I'm fine with my avatar, I think I've had it since I joined here. I did have to lower the color quality a bit to fit it into the file-size limitations, but it's not really noticeable.

I can see how that could be an issue, especially when a lot of members might not know who you are.

I was going to suggest putting a disclaimer in your sig, but yeah, getting rid of the Swastikas might be the wisest choice.

Alex Plank personally removed a parody meme I posted once, because it had nazi symbolism. So that's pretty much the final word on it I'd say. The guy who owns the place doesn't want it displayed.
