Restaurants are kinda a waste of time for me. I'd rather cook my food at home for a couple of reasons. For one, I am a vegan so I have to be mindful of what ingredients are going into the food since I ended up not getting food from several places around here for that reason. Another reason is that I just like to know whats in the food that I'm gonna eat.

I like restaurants but I need to check the menu before and also photos of food are good to help me before. It makes me anxiety to choose it at the time without more information. I also feel uncomfortable when the waiter looks too much at me or stay around my table.

I dislike them, they're too noisy and busy and sensory >.< It's also even harder now with me being vegetarian, not liking vegetables and being an otherwise very fussy eater.

I often find resturants to be too busy. With my sensitive hearing I often can hear the conversations of the people at the next table. I much prefer to get take-out over dining in.

Yep, same here. I look at their menu online first, and also read recent customer reviews. Some menus are so poorly laid out and structured that they are confusing. I'd rather take the time to sort out what I want before I even go there and save the aggravation.

I like them to stay away from me, too. Just make one quick pass and ask if all is well then don't come back until it's time to bring the check.

I don't hold anything against waiting staff and I know it's a hard job. I almost always tip them on the generous side, but I don't like having anyone hovering over or around me.

My mother and I go out to eat about once a week. I enjoy spending time with my mom, and a free meal never hurts either, so I don't usually mind it unless the restaurant has screaming kids or people who talk and laugh very loudly. Last week my mother and I actually went to McDonald's, where we hardly ever go, and the checks had just come in, so there were many people and their kids at the place. And yet I managed to put with it.

But I'm "high-functioning", so it's "easier" for me to wear the mask when I have to.

I enjoy trying different cuisines and if you go early you can avoid the crowds.
I recently went to a Korean restaurant which was just lovely how the food was presented and the high quality of the meal.
It's disappointing when I go out to dine and I get food which I could have cooked better at home.

I definitely prefer to eat at home. It's far more convenient and nicer. And restaurants are ridiculously expensive! I could get many meals for the price of one when shopping for my home. It's overrated IMO.
