That is definitely a thing, especially so for some people.

I much prefer the deep end of swimming pools.

But what if all the young hotties are hanging out in the shallow end?

And what would be in it for me anyway? I'm mute (even then English isn't necessarily my first language in the areas of sign language or speaking online), not very fond of being in scenarios where I'm rushed into social interactions, aromantic and just generally like my own space.

And that is your right...as a person.

As for myself being shallow, eh I guess you could call me that. I mean, there's not much point to my life anyway.

I have been unfortunately and I hate it because I hate shallowness and considering my first bf who was a catch physically is the worst person i've ever had to deal with to date I know for a fact that looks doesn't go very far without a good personality.

I think i've focused on looks a lot due to insecurity and what other people think rather than looking deeper than that. You often see people dating someone "out of their leauge" get questioned like what is he or she doing with that person when he or she could do better? Which is just stupid to be honest because you know that by "better" they mean "hotter" , as if that is all that matters.

I'm changing though, thankfully, and my main focus nowadays is personality. In the end I would rather be with someone who isn't a 10 physically but personality-wise, someone who can make me laugh and someone I can count on and you can't see who that person is from looking at faces.
