I would say I am at the high end of positivity here on WP. Many people here have gone through things I can't begin to imagine. I would say I am very fortunate. I do have some anxieties about the future, but I also have a lot of goals. I'm not certain I can meet them through the same channels as typical people, so I have to find new and creative channels to do so. I would like to make greater strides toward independence in the next couple of years. I will have a lot of catching up to do if I want to meet my goals by age 60.

I wonder how many of the people posting here vote according to how they feel on the current day.

It does vary by day. I have been criticized a for being too negative my whole life. I am less negative now that I realize a lot of it is a coping mechanism for the negative experiences being Autistic in an NT world. Things that are easy for others are often difficult or impossible for me. Being bullied in my formative years and so on.

You're not alone. I could have written the above about myself.

I've found this quote from comedian Catherine Tate to be very interesting as I can admittedly identify with it. Rather than "neutral" as she says about herself, I've always said for me, I have an ingrained ideal of being in "statis". For any number of reasons, if I'm not in "statis", then I'm not content.

Catherine Tate: "I'm an incredibly negative person, so any form of success is only ever going to be a relief to me and set my default position back to neutral."
