Do Glade plug-ins bother you?

I have to use Air Wick plugins out of necessity, sadly, to try and disguise the smell of my cats litter because my neighbours make vexatious complaints about it. Some scents are really overpowering (like the crackling fire and mulled wine one) while other ones like the lavender aren't so bad. I usually have one in the bathroom but the room is rather small, like 4m2, so the scent gets very concentrated in there.

Febreeze, laundry soap, dryer sheets, and perfume cause me to panic, and shut off my brain. It makes it impossible for me to be in enclosed spaces with other humans. Anyone else that has such a strong reaction to these things do you think this is from sensory processing issues or multiple chemical sensitivities or a horrible combination of the two?

I bought a Glade plug-in 2005 and I haven't used it since. I had one that smelled like "tropical breeze" or something like that. I remembering liking it for the first few minutes it was on and then it just got kind of gross. I find the scents smell too artificial and it bothers me. I started using essential oils a few years ago and I definitely prefer them over the Glade plug-ins. However, essential oils can still bother me if I'm around them too long and I find some brands and scents are better than others.

Well I don't think I got the glade brand, I got some other brand of the same sort of product. And it doesn't bother me, in fact I am disappointed at how weak the scent is. Certainly seems like burning incense, using my candle essential oil diffuser or the water diffuser for essential oils I have is much more satisfying.

IDK if maybe the glade ones are stronger, but I have never really been a fan of glade products...because they smell gross to me, too much of a sickly sweet smell. For air freshener in my apartment I usually use ozium spray it has sort of a fresh scent but it doesn't linger too long. Also it is supposed to help smoke smell and though me and my boyfriend have both stopped smoking the smell is not entirely gone from when we were smoking in the apartment so we spray it from time to time just to reduce that smell.

No, I like most air fresheners I've smelled. I like a good scent in a room. Those we've had haven't been too much at least

I avoid artificial air-fresheners, and instead selectively (sometimes) apply:

* Natural fruit OR spice sprays.

* Plug-in ionic air freshener.

* Minimizing odors ( the overhead fan is sufficient when cooking meals).

* and most importantly opening windows and screen door (esp. with the fresh Spring air).
