Finding that suddenly my selective mutism and social anxiety had completely vanished
Finding a job that I could perform adequately on a daily basis and actually getting hired for it - bonus if said job does not involve cleaning (not that I particularly mind cleaning, but it'd be nice to know that I actually can get hired for something that isn't just a part-time janitorial position)
Finding something I'm at least decent at that's actually useful
Discovering that I actually can take the form of a dragon and fly on my own two wings
Falling asleep, having a really cool dream, and waking up feeling refreshed instead of like I want to go right back to sleep (which I can't remember ever doing in my life)
My cat sitting in my lap (which he has done once in the year or so we've had him - but he'll sit in my mom's, dad's, and brother's laps, he just seems to not like mine for some reason, although he will come to me seeking pets and scritches - it seems that he likes me just fine but for some reason won't sit in my lap)

Yet in my new wildness and freedom I almost welcome the bitterness of alienage. For although nepenthe has calmed me, I know always that I am an outsider; a stranger in this century and among those who are still men.
