I never forget something I heard which was amusing. About twenty years ago in New York they had their garbage men on strike. Times square was said to be a large heap of rubbish. It was around Christmas time. One man didn't know what to do with his rubbish. He had an idea. He managed to put all his rubbish into a large cardboard box. He wrapped the box in Christmas wrapping paper so it looked like a present. He placed the box in the back of his car, left the car door open and he then went inside his house for a little while. Then he noticed. Someone had stolen the box. He went outside, locked his car... Job done!

Have you heard of any similar things happen? Maybe with a different subject? Any amusing stories?

An idea.

Haha. You're not going to try it are you?

I would if I actually had stuff, like a house and a car.

Aww. Maybe one day you could have a really nice car and a beautiful house with a nice garden!

Recycling, resource recovery, resource reclaimation - whatever terms apply, we need to cut waste, and apply both traditional, and novel ways of handling wastes.

Recycling's not to waste!

A friend of mine told me about an elderly lady who was living near he does, and she had family move into her house and she felt awkward to use her own bathroom so she didn't. She would do her business and put it all in a carrier bag, and every day she would catch the bus, and leave the bag on the bus and go back home!
