The number was 666 right? :twisted:

I was also more interested in that red dot.Sometimes the illusion looked like a cylinder,other times lines of dots crossing.

Honestly, are there some people who wouldn't see the red dot?

Also is the test administered at the size in the article? I'm wondering how big the video was for participants.

I was more concerned about the patterns
My eyes tended to go up and down the column

If you saw the number 666 then I suggest you seek the help of a priest :twisted:

I only saw the illusion of the cylinder ( sometimes spinning clockwise sometimes anti clockwise )

Doubt it , it sticks out like dead pixel.

I would guess the test would be the size of your average laptop screen.

I saw the red dot and the cylinder and dots moving back and forth and them changing color from black to white and back. I was looking at how the illusion works since they like to trick our brain. I have no idea what autistic people are supposed to see.

Son: Diagnosed w/anxiety and ADHD. Also academic delayed and ASD lv 1.

Daughter: NT, no diagnoses. Possibly OCD. Is very private about herself.

The test knows where you eyes focus ( by measuring pupil size ). The research revealed that high AQ ( Autism-Spectrum Quotient ) participants focus on the front surface of the rotating cylinder, while those with low AQ distribute attention to both surfaces in a more global, holistic style.

I took me a few seconds to see the number 7, so does that mean I'm only mildly depressed?

Actually, I think these are supposed to test people for color blindness. If they can read the number in the dots, they can see colors pretty well.

I once saw a guy on Canada's Worst Driver where they found out he couldn't tell red and green apart by taking this kind of test. It also explained why the sweater he wore was so ugly. They said he could still drive but he shouldn't shop for his own sweaters.
