I thought Scorchy was going to just eat the girl so she wouldn't bother him any more, but instead he just goes vegan to keep her happy even though he's wasting away.

It must be hard being an non-human who is *aware* that you are killing and eating living creatures because you're a carnivore or omnivore, and caring that you do.
