I don't really like french fries, but if I do have them, I just have them by themselves, without any condiments.

I only get served french fries ie french cut fried potatoes at fast food places, so I always eat them with ketchup.

Love me some fries. A little salt and sometimes a small amount of pepper is all I need, I’ve never been a fan of condiments or dressings.

I wonder if fries made in France, cuz they call french fries.

Usually just salt and ketchup.

But when I'm eating chicken fried steak with cream gravy, I'll spoon cream gravy over the fries instead.

I suspect that it refers to the type of cut. A julienne, to be precise. Today's fries aren't what I think one would call julienne, though.

There's a restaurant at the casino downtown that makes the best beer-battered fries, but I haven't eaten down there in ages.
