There was a Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin is complaining about mosquitoes to Hobbes. Calvin says how he hates the high-pitched sound they make, the dizzying way they fly around you in circles, and everything about them is annoying. And then Hobbes replies, "Said the loud, whiny, hyperactive child." In the next panel it shows Hobbes being chased by an enraged Calvin.

Mosquitoes need to be killed off by genetically modified sterile male mosquitoes bred and released on a large scale.

Mosquitoes suck, both literally and figuratively. No other animal on Earth is responsible for more human deaths than the lowly mosquito.

I did my bit.
In a previous life, I was a frog.
I didn't hate them,
I ate them.

An interesting fact you dug up.
I had no idea.

Light sensitivity.
Sound sensitivity.
Any more sensitivities we should know about?
I hope I am not being insensitive here.

How would breeding a nonreproducing mosquito help instead of making the problem worse by releasing more mosquitoes in the wild :?:

The bred nonreproducing mosquitoes won't be able to reproduce but the millions of 1s already in the wild still will.
