I had something kind of similar, I got worried once or twice incase I randomly decided to hurt myself with a knife or fell on it by mistake but not too much

Uhmm. You have just made me think of something. Certain tools and machine tools I am ever so careful if I use them as I have a very visual inner mind and I can imagine too easily all the horrific things which could happen if things go wrong. I won't say what some of them are as apart from embarissing myself, I don't want to remind myself of them.

I used to be deathly afraid of going to the dentist up until I was in my early teens. It's under control now. I haven't had any cavities for a long time now *knocks on wood*.

Ah. I didn't used to be afraid but in recent years I have had issues where I need to swollow. I can't be tipped back in the dentists chair.
My dentist is a beautiful kind lady. However, if I need anything more serious doing I have to wait years on waiting lists so I can be seen to and knocked out. I have only once had this so far and it was a 5 year wait, and I had my left eye vision going due to an absus under it for a few months before I was seen.

I have partial shutdowns and am often sitting or lying on the floor outside the dentists building before the time it is foe me to go in, or I am on the toilet. I drink lots of sater due to nurves and have to brinh sater in with me to drink to clear my throat so it does not get blocked up, and this is for a checkup! I hate the drive to the dentists. I slowly get myself eeady early trying not to stress myself, and the last few times my Mum has been late getting herself ready (Usually it is me who does this!) so I am soo wound up trying to drive on the way in... And I have removed all thoughts of dentist from my mind... And then my Mum says "You souldn't be anxious going to the dentist. You should train yourself not to" ... and then the whole lot of nurves and anxiety etc heads my way while I am trying to drive! GRR! I had not long calmed myself down!
I have to have my Mum theee though as if I am lying or sitting on rhe pavement outside, there is no one to get me when they call me. (That is if I can get up. Usually I can). I could be in the toilet, so someone needs to tell them where I am.

They probably get loads of people like me though!

Oh yeah, that's another one I have. I've never had a cavity, only ever had to have any work beyond a basic cleaning done once when I broke a tooth, but I'm always terrified they're going to find something wrong and spend the whole time so nervous I'm shaking.

Agoraphobia is a type of anxiety disorder in which an individual fears and avoids places or situations that might cause them to panic and feel trapped, helpless or embarrassed. They fear an actual or anticipated situation. These situations can include open spaces, public transit, shopping centers, being in a crowd, or simply being outside their home. The anxiety is caused by fear that there's no easy way to escape or get help if the anxiety intensifies. Most people who have agoraphobia develop it after having one or more panic attacks, causing them to worry about having another attack and avoid the places where it may happen again. People with agoraphobia often have a hard time feeling safe in any public place, especially where crowds gather. They may feel that they need a companion, such as a relative or friend, to go with them to public places. The fear can be so overwhelming that they may feel unable to even leave their home.

I get agoraphobia on and off, but I don't think it's full-blown. Agoraphobia is more of an emotion with me. I can go out if I need to (like to work or grocery shopping), but I can sometimes say, "I feel agoraphobic" and avoid going into town. I become especially agoraphobic at certain times too, like for example I tend to avoid getting public transport during rush hour, and I avoid being out after dark, particularly on weekends.
My social anxiety in public can look contradictive; I feel anxiety and panic in crowded public places but I also feel anxiety and panic in almost empty public places. But these are anxieties caused by different things. The anxiety I get in crowds is caused by impatience, irritability and some type of sensory overload. The anxiety I get when public places are too quiet (like at night) is caused by feelings of vulnerability, loneliness (even if there are people about), and even disorientation because it's dark and people seem more like a threat, as they are more likely to be drunk at night. So if I do happen to be out at night, I suddenly crave the daytime atmosphere and the crowds!

I've been diagnosed with Agoraphobia & Claustrophobia before but I think my problem is more social anxiety but I'm not entirely sure if this issue is due to social anxiety. I feel anxious on crowded buses that are very noisy & I'm sitting down & there's people standing over me or I'm standing amongst a group of crowded people. I have no problem in tight spaces otherwise(I'll feel fine in a small closet) & I don't avoid things cuz of anxiety. I worked in retail jobs in stores that were crowded sometimes & I did feel anxious but I handled it OK. I take a Klonopin before going out when I may be on a crowded bus & that helps.

I have a problem with heights but only if there's a chance I could fall. I have bad motor-skills & doing things like climbing ladders or standing on a chair/stool make me really nervous but I'm OK looking down from bridges & balconies. I have a fear of flying but I think it's more due to me being slightly prone to motion sickness(it was a lot worse when I was little) & the fact that I've never done it before so I'd have no clue what to do. Plus I also really dislike the idea of being molested by the TSA.

A topic I cannot ever truly relate to. :| In various timespan even.

No phobias. Not even death or the idea of dying -- more ever so recently. I'm more worried of how others take that than me dealing with that possibility.
At best, all I got is basic caution based in experience and cognition, and basic survival instincts which inclines to fight than flee or freeze. I had to manually freeze or flee.
It just doesn't go beyond and overboard from what it does. It only goes overboard if I got low EQ.

Trauma and anxiety of various forms I got caught up with just resolves itself before it turns into something else.
The rest are too hidden, and are more common and acceptable types of trauma and anxiety within it. The types more likely found in normal psychology textbooks than in diagnostic manuals.

From my own point of view, save from the very few exceptions, most living creatures has anxiety. Therefore I'd likely regarded anxiety as a human condition and reaction than ND or autistic emphasized because of the usual circumstances.
It's just the majority are well accommodated and understood than most autistics in this world and era.
Mine just resolves itself fast and comes less often.

I have trouble with heights in a similar manner. I can't do ladders. I also have trouble with escalators, especially going down - I'm afraid I'll end up stepping between stairs at the flat part and end up falling all the way down once the stairs unfold. Although I'm a bit better about escalators than I was as a child, when my parents sometimes had to go back up and get me because I'd been too afraid to get on behind them, but they still make me nervous.

I kinda liked escalators as a kid. I haven't been on them much in my life & they were a novelty when I was little.

I definitely struggle with my phobias and I am considering getting back into therapy (maybe even hypnotherapy) if I can actually get myself out of the house.

Some of my normalish fears:
Acrophobia- Fear of heights
Claustrophobia-Fear of enclosed spaces
Agorophobia- Fear of crowds and wide open spaces
^I've heard that these three often occur together and that the inner ear may actually be involved?

Autophobia -Fear of being abandoned.
Glossophobia-Fear of public speaking and social interaction.
Necrophobia- Fear of dead bodies.
Thanatopobia - Fear of death. A pretty normal one I think.
Vehephobia - Fear of driving. Usually if it is a different route or in a more urban setting.
Spheksophobia - Fear of wasps. This is a recently developed one, and I generally love insects. I'm only afraid of yellow jackets as I'm allergic to them and I had a scary experience last fall whilst solo hiking (I was stung over 20 times before I made it back to my husband. He had to smack them off of me as I was screaming and crying). Wasps in general don't bother me. Only the aggressive/hyperprotective yellow jackets freak me out.

Some of my weirder ones:
Casadastraphobia/Anablephobia- Fear of falling into the sky. Wide open spaces, mountain tops, and sky watching always make me feel like I'm going to float away. This can be a major problem when driving. I literally had to wrap myself around my husband's arms and legs in order to watch the solar eclipse (a couple of years back) because I thought I was going to drift off. I have full-blown meltdowns when I'm near open (scenic) mountain passes, and I have no idea how to prevent these from occurring.

Sidonglobophobia- Fear of cotton balls. Touching them, hearing them rip, thinking about them. Barf! Makes me panic thinking just about them. *gags*

I can relate though it's gotten better since last year. It's an up and down thing with me too. Sometimes I need to go outside and get some fresh air. Other days, and this is especially difficult on days I need to work, I am almost deathly afraid of being outside or being around anybody to the point where I'm afraid to pass by strangers on the street.

And, don't get me started on small office spaces. I found out the hard way this is a powerful fear I have and is starting to become rather intrusive to my life. I'm working to overcome it, though.

Same. When I was 2, I was at a playground and while climbing I ended up falling, and I've had a fear of heights ever since. Strangely, when I was an older kid, I was still able to climb that same ladder-type-thing, but the fear of heights remained in other contexts, like rock-climbing and that sort of thing.

I also had a fear of birds as a kid but I don't really have that anymore.
