How about "Tales of Brave Ulysses" by Cream?

"Rock Music" was reaching the pinnacle of it being a "serious art form" by about 1969. Then, forces which thought that was "elitist" came in and sort of "dumbed down" the music.

There was even "Rock Opera" at that time. Would anybody think of any sort of "opera" in popular music today?

Yes, I do, next to 1980s and 90s music. I liked the disco and hard rock. :D

Yes and no. 70's is my time but I was a very depressed teen then. Even though the music is good/talented, it tends to trigger sad feelings even though it was eons ago.
I enjoyed Rod Stewart, the Bee Gee's, Funkadelic, Chicago, Village People, Michael Jackson, WDAS 105.3 FM Phiadelphia
As a matter a fact, the 70's Disco Era made me notice I was different from everybody else in my immediate world but I didn't know that there was a label until I was almost 40 years old. Before the label came, I just sought out people that were like me - only then was I happy socially. I loved the African-American music above all others but it was looked down upon even though I was half black. I was supposed to act as white as possible even though my appearance told people otherwise. It was a crazy life. :?

Yes. Yes, I do.

I think it's that beat, man. The beat and rhythm that just makes people want to get up on a stage and make a total lostonearth of themselves.

I was born in 1974, and I still remember just dancing up a storm as a four-year old to some of my parent's records.
