That you're a "radiohead"? Or a..."radioheadhead" (fan of the band). Or maybe that you're "shacking up" with someone?.

... At least I like Radiohead. :|

I have never heard anyone refer to an asexual person as 'aces'.

Yeah.

"Asexual people" so rarely ever come up as a topic of conversation that its hard to believe that anyone would make up abbreviated slang to identify them.

Maybe among the LBGT community they need slang for every "sexuality" variant in the human race. I dunno.

Considering that some claim there are 75+ variants, I have to wonder if they ever talk or think about anything else.

75 genders seems like an awfully low number of gender options for billions of people.

Dude... most plants and animals only have either one, or two, sexes.

The population size of the species makes no difference.

There maybe seven billion of us but for some things we don't get many options.

Very few folks have a number of heads different from one. There are one armed folks, and two armed, but virtually no three armed folks. So.. there are only two kinds of armed folks, and one kind of headed folks.

This is a great way to phrase it. I agree.

I hear asexuals being referred to as aces quite a lot in LGBT spaces. My favourite asexual joke that I've come across is:

Quote:
"Hey, I took a sexuality test"

"Oh?"

"I aced it. 8) "

One time in an English class my teacher asked if anyone knew the definition of asexual. Some guy in my class replied "Straight". Judging by that response, I get the impression that asexuality isn't talked about much in general. Perhaps he thought the teacher said "a sexuality".

After his answer, I gave mine: "An asexual is someone who experiences little to no sexual attraction". For those wondering how this topic came up, we were discussing the lives of certain poets and the subject was somewhat relevant to this.

Whilst someone could be straight and asexual in the sense that they are interested in the opposite sex but only romantically, the two terms aren't exclusively dependent on one another. In addition, a person might have no interest in romance or dating and not experience sexual attraction (in which case, such an individual would be considered an aromantic asexual).

Was the OP joking or were they being serious. In real life it can be hard enough for us to tell if someone is just joking, but online it's hard even for many NTs. :?

Also, Best Buy is boring and we don't have an Ace Hardware where I live.

Lots of people are familiar with the word "asexual" only from biology class where students learn about sexual versus asexual reproduction in different species. They aren't familiar with the word being applied to humans.

That's awfully wishful thinking, presuming that we can even phrase this accurately. You're enforcing black & white thinking about subjective nonsense. No one with only two adjectives to offer could adequately describe my train wreck of a love life.

I am sure that he is joking.

And even if he isn't you can go ahead and take it as a joke ( it would be too stupid a thing to respond to in any way if it were serious).

So..you are in a love triangle with...75 different people, and each one of them is of a different "gender"?
