I'm a Chinese bat.

How ironic it is that the word for "bat" in Chinese is the same as the word for "lucky", and because of this many Chinese people see bats as symbols of good fortune.

TBH, I heard that in an episode of Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat. It even said in the cartoon that bats were clean.

And it stinks because I like bats. :( Maybe Canadian bats are different. :)

I like bats also, in the air, not the frying pan.
I suppose they think bats are lucky because they eat mosquitoes and the rice paddy regions would be full of those.Seems like they’d leave them alone.
They probably eat bats because of sympathetic magical beliefs.Bats “see” well at night, so a person with bad eyes might think eating them will help their eyesight. Please just get glasses next time. They think eating turtle meat gives long life simply because turtles are long lived .(unless a Chinese person finds them.)

The character of the bat, in Sagwa, actually wears glasses because of his poor vision.
