I think the best name for a dog is Idiot - only imagine all those people in the street who turn round having heard you shouting your dog's name. :lol:

the cats' names are very fitting, in my opinion...
odin's name just kinda stuck after i grew accustomed to nicknaming him that ~___^;;.

Nubians have the long ears, they are very distinctive that way. I have milked many does, but as much as I loved my buck, Hal, they smell like a billy goat! It gets into everything, bedding, walls of the dairy, feed, and yes, doe's milk.

Years later, I had only does, Blanchette and Bonham-Carter, (Blanchy and Boney) and made the best cheeses and yogurts. . .not a whiff of billygoat, it was fabulous! ah, goodtimes,good times. . .

I had some Alaskan Malamutes and I called them Quuawnee and Lash but I think the best name for that breed would be Snowstorm. One because they a sled dogs that work in conditions where there are plenty of snowstorms and blizzards etc.

Another reason is even in places where it doesn't snow you would still get your snowstorm when they shed their undercoat and the whole backyard looks like a snowstorm hit it.

OMG one of my dogs was gonna be named Dee-Oh-Gee!
Instead we went with T-Dog (pronounced with the letter T, Tee Dog)
T of course being short for The.

...Hey I didn't name her. :oops:

She was a good dog I miss her.

My favorite name is Rumpamuffin - he's my cuddle-kitty.
I also have a Crusader Kitabit, Butters, Mr. M, Zophie, & Sevena - all kitties.

We named our dogs Anna and Daisy, and our cats Molly and Polly (like the twins in the BBC kids' programme Pigeon Street: "Molly with an M and Polly with a P!").

We're down to just Molly now, and she's 18 and very doddery

Lambchop was a Bedlington Terrier with white crisp curly hair and looked for all the world like Sherry Lewis's hand puppet "Lambchop".

(having grown up in the Central Midwest, we didn't eat sheep for meat. It was cattle country, they didn't even sell lamb or mutton in the stores. Range wars were common in my area, so was being a border territory during the Civil War. Those people didn't get along with anybody! :wink:
