like the above quote...had read many times in various publications on mental Health that depression was pretty hard on a persons memory ...but am not so sure if that pertains to PTSD type experiences for Aspies, but the depression afterwards seems to make recalling normal things sometimes very hard . At least to some degree. IMHO
