I consider Ms Frizzle to be in the same category as Mary Poppins. Eccentric, otherworldly magical beings who bring joy and entertainment through unrestricted and downright dangerous use of magic.

Either the adults won't believe you or you must never tell them, otherwise your favourite person with borderline God like abilities will likely lose their job and end up in jail.

Personally I like to headcanon that Ms Frizzle was banished from another dimension so she started a new life as a teacher.

She's scary, but she's not on Amelia Bedelia's level of cosmic horror.

Just a reminder: under international law, an occupying power has no right of self-defense, and those who are occupied have the right and duty to liberate themselves by any means possible.

I find it very hard to have conidence in someone named Ms. Frizzle, especially when the show has the word Magic in the title. However I'd probably change my mind is someone were to give me a magic mushroom

There is an essential irony in using “magic” to teach “science”.

But

It is a really good show.

It's a cartoon, who cares.

A picture book. The TV show was much later.

Book, cartoon, whatever. What's the point of creating fiction if you have to make everything accurate to real life?

But then again, it was supposed to be educational, wasn't it? But still entertaining enough not to put viewers into a half-hour coma. Unlike most modern kid's shows.

Fun fact: the theme song is sung by James Brown (Great Balls of Fire and Good Golly Miss Molly)

Hate to take the fun out of your fact but Great Balls of Fire was Jerry Lee Lewis and Good Golly Miss Molly was Little Richard. James Brown was Papa's Got a Brand New Bag and I Got You (I Feel Good).

^ guess the old brain box is on the fritz again. That is embarrassing.

“The series premiered on PBS in September 10, 1994, with its theme song performed by musician Little Richard.”

Source: Wikipedia

As you pointed out “Good Golly Miss Molly” was Little Richard - so a small part of my fun fact was factual.

Jerry Lee Lewis recorded covers of some Little Richard songs so perhaps I can be forgiven for confusing them.

As for mixing up James Brown and Little Richard . . .

Right decade any how.

Politicians love that phrase. They want their followers to believe they actually care about children, but they don't unless the children are at least 18 and and therefor legally able to vote.

The politicians are the biggest children throwing tantrums worse than the meltdowns most of us Aspies would have. Plus they toss insults around worse than most of us were ever bullied :tired:
