There are also 7 typical heroes. By using these functions and heroes, anyone can generate a fairy tale.

Likewise, Claude Levi Strauss has his version of the structuralist approach to myths. He interpreted Oedipus's myth as an interplay of under/overvaluation of blood relations and an affirmation/negation of the chthonic birth.
