Anyone been compared to the Vulcan race (or Mr. Spock)?

Nobody has ever called me Mr Spock. I've been called weird, rude, flirty, ret*d, acedemically stupid, and lesbo - but I've never been called names that implied I'm a logical nerd.

The XO at my first Navy assignment kept referring to me as "Petty Officer Spock". I guess it was because I "Walked my post in a military manner...", kept my uniform squared away, remembered all my military courtesies, and was a computer / electronics geek.

I could also identify constellations; navigate with a sextant, compass and chronometer; tutor all the other rates in maths; and liked science-fiction.

I'm referred to as "spockian" from time to time. Never really identified with Spock though, I'm too weird(weird creative not weird awkward and cold)

Yup. My mum always used to joke that I was Vulcan. She just sort of stopped joking after a while when she realised I wouldn't laugh.

According yes my whole family calls me Spock because I use words over 10 letters to describe them ,and when my mom was in the hospital I act like nothing was going on in school they call Spock, and Im only turned 15.Also considering I don't feel emotion for anyone people call me also call me cold hearted, freaky but it doesn't bother me.

Oddly enough, I have (unintentionally) resembled Brent Spiner (Lieutenant Commander Data) physically, and, apparently, behaviorally since he played the character. At a job I had in Silicon Valley, coworkers would tell me that I "looked like" or "acted like" Data. In recent years, I got lazy about shaving and allowed my white beard to develop. Then, I started seeing Spiner images where he did the same! Creepy.

Nope. In fact I prefer people not to assume aspies are like that at all.

I was just thinking about how when I was a kid and saw someone on TV getting injured or attacked by sharks under the ocean, the salt water in their wounds must make it hurt a million times worse. I swam in the ocean quite a bit and I know how a small cut can sting like the devil in salt water. But wait a minute, that's empathy *and* a sensitivity to pain! 8O

My brother, on the other hand, sure liked to use the Vulcan Nerve Lock or whatever it's called on me. it really did make half my body go limp and I'd almost fall to the floor. He also laughed at me when I tried to do the Vulcan Salute.
