shaving

i like shaving. its a very meditative and soothing activity to me.

i progressed through different models, starting with a wilkinson two-bladed model, nothing special... until they stopped producing them. out of curiosity, i bought a wilkinson classic, which i loved. a friend gave me a mach3 for birthday, but i hardly ever use it, as the simply safety razor produces a much better result at much lower skin irritation.
right now, i use a merkur 23c full-steel safety razor with blades by merkur, solingen (when i cant get them, gilette rotbart extra fine).

also, no foam out of the spray can, no gel or the like, but shaving soap, lathered up via the good old shaving brush. tops everything...

I don't get haircuts at all cause I can't stand those buzzer things.

I shave once per week at most, I maintain a goatee by trimming it with scisors, and since I have facial hair already, a little extra for the rest of my face isn't very noticable.

I hate shaving. Of course it has to happen now and then, but I dislike it. It is like brushing your teeth: it has to happen but I hate doing it. That said, I stopped shaving a while ago and just let the local barber do it. It costs me less than 2 euro and I don't have to bother doing it myself.

I hate shaving, even though I feel better after doing it. I can only do it twice a week due to skin conditions, so people think I am a slob at work.

I was only thinking about face shaving, but then I remembered that I have shaved my legs too.

When the hair grew back, I was kinda disappointed. I actually liked my smooth, muscular legs
