Sunderland and Newcastle are my favourites. I bought my first copy of the JTHM director's cut in Newcastle.

I live in London but I am sick to death of it.

I've always lived in the same general area (Western WA) and haven't done a whole lot of travelling. But so far I'm definitely going with San Francisco, California. I've never been to Eastern US besides layovers, and have only been to various cities in Spain, England, France, and BC Canada. Most travelling I've done has been within Washington, Oregon, and California. Most of California I don't really care for, but I LOVED the general feel of San Francisco. I wish it was affordable to live there.

Never been to any of these places, but I'd have to say:

Dublin, Ireland
Tokyo, Japan
Boston, Massachusetts

and to the guy who thinks Phoenix sucks, I AGREE MUCHLY. I should know, I've lived here since 1995.

Boston, MA rules!

I have been to Phoenix, AZ twice and was not impressed. Sedona, AZ was nice though.

I'll agree with that. I've been there twice (if I remember right), and keep wanting to go back.

Reykjavik, IS

Napolski, IT

Both cities are, located in volcanically interesting areas. With Reykjavik, there is the Grimsvotin sub-glacial volcano within the Vatanjokull, as well as Lakagigar (the site of the massive 1783 flood basalt eruption)

Napolski, IT (Naples) is located near the Somma-Vesuvius volcano and the Campi Flegrei caldera (containing solfataras).

Prague, Czech Republic (so very beautiful!)
Amsterdam, Netherlands (interesting city, interesting people)
Bremen, Germany (I love the old parts of town)

What happened in 2005?

I like London, despite all its faults - the expense, the overcrowding, the people (I'm one of them).
Holland has a lot of nice cities. My favourite was Utrecht.
San Francisco was nice, though I saw too little of it :(

Santa Cruz, California - I really adore this place! Downtown has lots to do, a California feel but with the San Francisco mentality (rather than the showiness of LA, no offense to all you LA folk), plus the BEACH and FORESTS if you like nature...Some areas are rundown, but most places are well-kept and gorgeous...

London, England - I think it's the cleanest, safest, and nicest-looking city (in terms of being modern but also historical, if that makes sense) I've ever been to.
