I like being a woman so I wouldn't like to be a man. I wouldn't mind being a peacock though, for a while, to see what it's like. Better make that a pea hen. :)

because my entire life I've been told, "You can't do that. its for boys." or "You have to do this. You're a girl." "That's not how girls act." 'That's not how girls dress." "You can't be interested in aviation technology."
Not to mention those awful dresses I had to wear every holiday, and to make it even worse they were almost always pink.

When I got older I realized I could do most of what I wanted and still be a girl. Though not everything. I get sick and tired of people not letting me carry things because "I'm a girl." Like that makes any difference. I used to lift a 50 lb box at least once every 6 minutes for 8-12 hours straight when I was at work but yet now people don't want me carrying a 25 pound box, even if all I'm doing is lifting it once to set it on a trolly, then once again to set it on the floor. And the other stupid "special treatments" like guys standing out of the way and holding the door, but if you try to do that for them they take the door out of your hand and tell you to go ahead.

However, I still had some desire to go through the surgery but then I found out 2 things that made realize its not worth it 1) you don't get a functioning penis and 2) You don't even get rid of the vagina because the surgery technique is so poor right now they don't have a way for use to use rolled-up skin penis for urination. So in the end you can pretty much achieve what you can with the surgery by simply sticking a dildo in your underwear.

I think there would be some definite advantages to being male. Among those no monthly hassles, can't get pregnant, fertility lasts longer for men, and looks are not quite as crucial for men when it comes to issues of dating and romance. There would not be such pressure to look pretty all of the time. In my case, I think being a woman has worked out well for me in some respects. I don't think my family would have helped me as much if I were male. It would be really hard to be a man and be short; I am only 5"2. I don't think that I could fill the provider role expected of men. So, I would only like to be male if I could be a male in a different body and with a different brain. If I could be at least 5"9 or 5"10 and have to ability to make an adequate living, then, yeah, I think it would be cool to be male.

i wouldn't need to find a bathroom as often, but men's fashion is boring.

this is such a stereotype and its completely untrue.

Suits for girls are rubbish. Men get amazing suits and they can have fun with all the little touches like colour and fabric and buttons and cut. I am especially jelous of men's shirts, and brogues.

Inventive men manage to make mens fashion fun.

If I had the choice I think I'd rather be a guy, I get on better with them, and find all the grooming you're supposed to do as a girl really boring. I wouldn't go to the extreme of making it happen now though.

We're supposed to groom...? All I do is wash my face and comb the worst tangles out of my hair. 8O

I've always felt more male than female, but I don't want to change my body.

I think I'm more male than female, but I'm not sure about changing my body, being female has some advantages, as being male does too.

When I was young, I always wanted to be male to do all the things they get to do and Now that I raised children and am older, I am glad to have had the experience. I am asexual in thinking and working. I just can't get along with most females.

If I could have chosen before birth, I definitely would have wanted to be male. In general I think they have it easier. I'm female, though, and generally satisfied.

Sometimes I wish I were a guy for the independence. As in, guys can pretty much do what they want, go off on their own, and people don't judge them as much for it. Girls are supposed to be very social. (Stereotypes, but unfortunately that's the way it seems to be...)

But really, I love being female. I think we can get away with a lot more (being masculine if we want to, being either a career woman or housewife, being "innocent"). That's not always true, but in the places I've lived and with the people I've known, it is.

But no, I would not want to swap. :)

Just do it - you'll find you'll get just as much respect as the guys. At least I do, but then on the other hand I also dress like a guy and have guy mannerisms. Actually when I went to Spain the men in my tour group were basically considering me "one of the guys" by the third day. The women chastised them for that a bit but then I didn't really spend enough time around the women for them to see what I was like either

I used to because I thought if I was a boy, I wouldn't have to wear dresses to church or that girls can't do this and they can't do that. Everything seemed so male dominated.

My dear girl, you have no idea how difficult it is to be a short man ....

Prolly like being an ugly woman, though. Now that I think about it .....
