I regret not telling Sophie that I loved her 4 weeks ago, when she was still alive.

I also regret being such an ass to her at times. Now a few people hate me for it. :(

I regret not putting up a defense when I was teased/bullied for being myself.

Ditto. If I could blow them up now I would!

Another thing...I regret writing my feelings into a journal. I should have known that someone was going to read it sooner or later!

I regret not moving out, sooner. I feel that I've waited too long. I've been on my own for a year, now. I just wish that I would have moved out, ten years ago.

I regret not going off to college when I was 18, rather than 27.

I regret not looking for a summer job, when I was 16.

I started to list everything I regretted and discovered it was making me too depressed so I won't.

I regret not getting a driver's license when I was a teenager, but I plan to get it next year.

I regret not taking library courses, instead of English as a major, but I could always take some courses on the Internet.

don't regret anything, any mistakes have just moved on from because once they have been done, they cant be changed, but they can be learnt from.
regret is bad because it can take up so much focus, but what is the point when no matter how much thinking it cannot change what happened? it is better to see it as part of life experience.

I don't regret not asking more girls out because I never noticed any flirting with me. I regret having asked a couple of girls, though.

Sometimes I regret studying physics instead of some kind of engineering. I regret some decisions regarding phds (but they were not unreasonable choices given what I knew at the time)

I regret not having started fights at school earlier than I did. I always lost, but i still got more respect.

I regret not having broken with my ex-gf when the relationship was beyond repair.

I regret not having been myself more in school.

Apart from that, it's not that I wish I had done things differently but that nothing I have ever put any effort in seems worth it in the end.

Me and Kilroy will be your friends! Just PM me whenever you want, about anything! If you feel depressed, or just want to rave to me about how good the quarter-pounder you're eating is, don't be shy!

EDIT: oh, in real life! Please, tell me it's possible to get to either Houston, Cape Cod or Vancouver!

I wouldn't recommend Houston. I used to live there, and I didn't like it.

I was basically going to echo what KingdomOfRats said, that I do not believe in regrets, and see mistakes as learning opportunities... And in fact, that's what I really believe, largely.

But then I saw this. And, yeah, I wouldn't mind going back in time and fighting back much harder than I actually did. When I was young, I was very broken and withdrawn, easy prey for humans over things I did not understand.

When I was in middle school, a bully once jumped me from behind without provocation, beat me up and ended up breaking my nose (which is crooked to this day as a result). At the time, all I could manage to do was to not understand why he was attacking me, and why the humans who had gathered were egging him on; I got my ass kicked because it did not even occur to me to fight back, not because I was truly bested. I'm a much different person now, and the thought of brooking some of the things I did sickens me; I wouldn't mind a chance to redo that fight, and some others. I won't go so far as to say I regret... But it is an interesting thought.

Good fortune,

- Icarus thinks a crooked nose is distinctive...
